About us

Cantariña is a small family winery in the DO Bierzo in the green NW of Spain, which was born from the enthusiasm of 5 siblings to preserve the family legacy of century-old vineyards. We cultivate 12 hectares of vineyards in Valtuille, Villafranca and Corullón to preserve this treasure and pass it on to the next generations. We work with local varieties such as Mencía, Garnacha Tintorera, Merenzao, Palomino, Doña Blanca and Godello. We cultivate in an artisanal, sustainable and organic way without pesticides or herbicides, respecting the natural ecosystem of the vineyard and practicing regenerative viticulture. We make our wines with minimal intervention and native yeasts, letting the wine convey the character of our vineyards. We bottle landscapes into a range of village and single-vineyard wines of high quality, accessible and enjoyable. Our wines have a fruity character, attached to the terroir and to the history and winemaking tradition of Bierzo.
