Clay, Limestone

Terroir:

South facing hill on clay and limestone soils. Trellised vines planted in 2016 born under organic farming. Dry farmed, natural green cover, no tillage.

Spontaneous fermentation of destemmed grapes. Pressing and FML before aging in used a 225 and a 500 l oak barrels. Not stabilized, light filtration at bottling. Only 935 bottles.

Cantariña is a small family winery in the DO Bierzo, in the green NW of Spain. We farm our family legacy vineyards under regenerative organic viticulture, respecting the ecosystem and soils to produce a range of terroir-driven wines from our local grape varieties.
