Domaine de la Main Rouge
After several years of experience, I managed an organic estate in the Saint-Chinian appellation for nearly 11 years. Concerned about the environmental challenges associated with viticulture and wanting to preserve the vibrant character of the wines, I broadened my experience in other areas, seeking to embrace natural winemaking techniques.
Since 2022, I cultivate 3.5 hectares of vines located on a schist terroir not far from the village of Saint-Chinian.
My vineyard is situated amidst garrigue and woodland and is not adjacent to any other vineyard plots, allowing me to benefit from the surrounding biodiversity without being impacted by farming practices different from my own.
I cultivate my vines organically (AB certification for the 2025 vintage). From pruning to harvesting, all the work in the vineyards is done by hand, allowing me to stay closely connected to and attuned to my vineyard and its terroir. These practices enable me to give meticulous care to the production of my grapes.
My vineyard in contiguous plot is composed of old Carignan, white, grey and red Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah. A true privilege to have such diversity in this small area!
I have a cellar located in the heart of the village of Saint-Chinian. My winemaking is minimally interventionist, relying on indigenous yeasts, and I never seek to accelerate or influence this natural process by adding any inputs.
