Château Pontoise Cabarrus

Pontoise Cabarrus carries a rich history shaped by Thérésia Cabarrus, a muse of the French Revolution. Nestled in Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne, where the gravelly soils meet the maritime influence of the Gironde, the estate has been tended by the Tereygeol family since 1959. Eric Tereygeol continues the work of his father Émile with the same devotion, cultivating each parcel by hand to preserve every nuance of terroir. Partnered with Château Charmail, they share the same philosophy of precision, respect, and harmony. Vinification is thoughtful and exacting: fermentations take place in stainless steel vats, and the wines are aged in French oak barrels with just the right proportion of new wood to bring texture and depth. The resulting wines are limpid and sincere—structured yet supple, elegant without austerity. As Eric Tereygeol says, “We don’t follow recipes, we listen to the land.”
