About us

The Lemaire Estate specializes in the production of rare and unique champagne, without use of malo lactic fermentation methods (only 10% of the winemakers!), without filtration, and without fining-method. This family specialty can give champagne substantial freshness, marked by the authenticity and the minerality. The champagne house got the classification HVE level 3 since 2018 (organic without labelling) and vegan (without labelling). At the winery, there are 2 brothers (Guillaume the winemaker, Sebastien the export guy) , a dynamic patriarch, and 5 generations who built this old family business since 1860.

Our family specificities :

* pur Rosé without red wine adding : only 5% of the french champagne production is a pur rosé without adding.

* long conservation : If your customers buy and keep in cellar, quality is NOT decreasing as the others champagne brands, our quality will increase for a few years, maybe for the next 10 years for the Blanc de Blancs !

* our products are organic conversion (no use of acaricides or pesticides or chemical fertilizers or herbicides. Wine analysis available on request).

* import of seaweed from Norway to naturally strengthen our vines (amendment with European organic label !). * all our champagnes are aged at least 4 to 5 years, 6 to 14 years for our oldest vintages.

* we do not practice malolactic fermentation (= we preserve the natural freshness of the grapes).

* vintages are produced in oak barrels.

* sugar levels are low, between 4g and 8g/L.

* our liqueur is homemade, 100% pure cane and ages in 300L oak barrels.

* we do not practice the fining method.

* we do not practice the champagne filtration. Some example of awards : +180 awards in the world.
