GRASSO FRATELLI SSA

The Grasso Fratelli Winery has its roots in the heart of the wine area of Treiso, one of the town that are part of the prestigious Barbaresco region.
Treiso is a small town of just under 800 inhabitants, its name comes from Tres, name given by the Romans, as it is located about 3 kilometers from Alba. Founded in 1900 by grandfather Valentino, initially the winery only vinified a small part of the production, which was sold in demijohns, while the majority quantity was sold as bulk grapes to the largest wineries in the area.
In the '60s Emilio, Valentino's son, decided to expand the production, equipping the cellar to be able to vinify the entire production. Guided by the passion handed down by their grandfather and father, Luigi and Alfredo carry on the family tradition with pride and commitment.
In 2020 Luigi and Alfredo celebrated fifty years of bottling. Since 1960, their expert hands have been taking care of every single bunch, transforming the grapes from their vineyards into unforgettable wines. Their philosophy is rooted in love for the land and dedication to quality. They respect the ancient winemaking techniques that have made Barbaresco famous, but at the same time they are open to modernity and new wine processing techniques.
