Domaine Viticole Häremillen, an independant winery, was founded in 1988 by Max Mannes, an economics professor who finally pursued his passion for wine. His daughter Michèle, a trained landscape architect, took over the management in 2021. The winery is settled in an old watermill in Ehnen, which holds today the tasting and event room. In 1996, a new, modern, and functional wine cellar was built a few hundred meters from the mill on the outskirts of the village. Michèle Mannes focusses high-quality wines and Crémants produced on 15 hectares of vineyards in Ehnen, Wormeldingen, Ahn, Machtum, and Mertert. As a family-run winery, they produce up to 120,000 bottles annually with great passion and dedication, using sustainable and responsible vineyard management practices. For example, the winery is 100% herbicide free and uses sheep in selected plots for grass-management. The products bear the "Made in Luxembourg" label, assuring wine lovers that the wines and Crémants are of local origin, produced in accordance with Luxembourg's established social, environmental, and economic standards, and meeting defined high quality requirements.
