DOMAINE DES OUCHES

For eight generations, the Gambier family has passed on their passion for winemaking. Thomas and Denis run this 16-hectare vineyard located in the commune of Ingrandes de Touraine in the Bourgueil appellation. They produce several red wines by separating their different terroirs using organic farming methods. On the gravel, the soil warms up quickly and the grapes ripen earlier. This is where they produce round and fruity Bourgueil. On the hillsides, the soils are generally more clayey and rest on the limestone. Maturation is slower and the grapes are more concentrated. The wines produced on those single vineyards are heavy with a good length in the mouth.
They also offer a Rosé wine that highlights other aspects of their grape variety: Cabernet Franc.
The range has diversified with two White Wines: a Chenin with a mineral character from the hillsides and a Blanc de Noir on the freshness and a good aromatic intensity.
