Information
Thaya Winery, located near Havraníky in the Znojmo sub‑region of South Moravia, Czech Republic, operates a state‑of‑the‑art facility combining winemaking, a hotel, and a restaurant. It farms approximately 105 ha of vineyards, some organically cultivated, rooted in Podyjí National Park. Led by enologist Jakub Smrčka, Thaya blends traditional techniques with modern technologies, favors minimal intervention, and employs native yeast and varied aging vessels. The estate has received accolades such as Winery of the Year (2022 medium category) and enologist Smrčka earned Oenologist of the Year.
