Vinification, winemaker's own words
Soils:
Clay, Limestone
Terroir:
The terroir of Requena, with its poor and deep clay-limestone soils, dry Mediterranean-continental climate, and altitudes of 600–900 m, favors the Bobal and Tardana varieties to produce fresh, aromatic wines with good acidity and structure.
Harvest:
Picked by hand
Fermentation:
New oak (100%)
Storage:
New oak (100%) 8 months
Winemaker:
JUAN CARLOS GARCIA
Manual harvest of vines over 80 years old to ensure perfect balance during ripening. Fermentation takes place in French oak barrels followed by a 4-month period of battonage in contact with the fine lees and a further 4 months of aging.
