- Initially the wine came from a vineyard planted in 1935 where someone subsequently had made an error replacing the dead vines and had planted Dolcetto instead of Muscat. Now the wine is produced with grapes grown in the Barbaresco area

- The wine comes from the main estate vineyard in the Langhe, high altitude (350-400 m a.s.l.) steep slope (44-51% of inclination). 70% of the blend is the rare Caruet (Moretto) aka Mexican Nebbiolo

- The wine comes from an overgrafted vineyard from on of Barbaresco's crus, exposed to North-West. The soil is predominantly clay, sand and limestone.

One part of the Pinot Nero is loaded in the tank as whole bunches, the second part is pressed and the must is pored over the whole bunches until it fully covers them. As soon as the external must finishes fermenting the grapes are destemmed and then pressed, then the wine finishes fermentation without further maceration. Aged in neutral old oak for 8 months. The Freisa, coming from the same cru, is vinified in a stadard way, then kept in glass demijones for 9 months.

- On the Southern border of Roero DOCG, old vineyard planted in 1975 with vertical rows on a very steep slope (up to 65%), exposed to the South. Official State classification as a "historic and heroic vineyard", obtained in 2024.

Vinified in the "old Roero way": the grapes are crushed, destemmed and loaded in the vat, where the fermentation immediately kicks in. After 48 hours, when the "cap" is lifted, the free run fermenting must is drained and vinified without the skins.
