- Terroir:
- A real geological diversity defines the Château de Gaure and all our white grape vineyards are located at a lower altitude. The diversity between the white grapes is due to the different soil types : - characteristic clay-limestone soils of the Limouxin - the soft loam around the Château - deep clay soils typical of Campagne sur Aude. The typicity of the soils brings complexity, richness and strength to our wines .

The castle was built as early as the 1st century, but it was in the 18th and 19th centuries that it truly came into its own with its 3,000 square meters of covered space. The history of GAURE is also the story of the men and women who created the beauty of this unique place and, today, of its great wines. Its story continues to this day through the name of the estate's flagship wine, “Le Château”.
