After harvest, the grapes are carefully handpicked and transported in small crates to preserve their integrity. In the cellar, they are de-stemmed and gently crushed before fermentation in stainless-steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation follows, softening the acidity and lending roundness for a more harmonious, balanced profile. The wine is then transferred to a separate stainless-steel tank for a short period of maturation.
Recommended
This wine has been tasted and highlighted.
"Very fruity profile. Look for strawberry, cherries and a bit of licorice. Great example of the dolcetto grape in a modern lighter style red!"

Information
Wine making in Piemonte, Italy, is deeply rooted in tradition. The region is well known for the high quality red wines produced from Barbera, Nebbiolo and Dolcetto grapes and we are fortunate at our Fontanavi vineyard to be producing in the same terroir as some of the region’s most famous wineries. At Tenuta Il Finale we believe in minimal intervention, biodiversity and sustainability and invest time and care in the quality of our soils and the selection of our handpicked grapes to deliver you outstanding wines from this region of Italy. Yields are kept purposefully small resulting in intensely flavourful fruit across our whites, rose and reds.
