Canoso Vini
The Canoso family has been committed to the quality of Monteforte d’Alpone’s volcanic hills since 1876, when they began producing wine sold locally in damegiana glass containers. In the 1970s, Giuseppe Meneghello Canoso purchased the prized “Cà del Vento” hill, laying the foundation for the modern winery. With his sons Primo and Massimo, he introduced an eco-sustainable approach focused on lower yields and higher quality, leading to the first bottled wines in 1990.
A new chapter began in 2016, when the family partnered with Giovanni, an entrepreneur with deep wine heritage, to relaunch the brand with a young, internationally experienced team.
Today, Canoso produces about 90,000 bottles a year from 12 hectares of volcanic hillside vineyards. Located entirely within the exclusive “Cà del Vento” cru of the Soave Classico area, the winery follows minimalist, vegan-friendly winemaking. Most work happens in the vineyard to preserve natural grape character, while gentle cellar techniques—including low-temperature fermentation, lees aging, and careful use of French oak for reds—allow each parcel to express its identity.
Focusing on Garganega, Trebbiano Veronese, Manzoni Bianco, and selected red varieties, Canoso crafts elegant, mineral-driven wines shaped by volcanic soils, excellent exposure, and constant ventilation. The estate’s philosophy remains clear: produce high-quality wines while protecting the land for future generations.
