Soils:
Limestone, Sand
Terroir:
The soils of Roero are primarily sandy and calcareous, often rich in fossils from ancient marine sediments. They are lighter and more porous than the clay-heavy soils of the Langhe, which allows for good drainage and encourages deep root growth. These soils contribute to the region’s wines a distinctive aromatic finesse and freshness, with a delicate minerality.
