Hors Ciel

We are two birds, Emma Olson originally from Portland Oregon and Victor Gourreau from the Minervois in the south of France- where our vineyard and domaine is situated. We make the kind of wine we like to drink- light, mineral and salty white wines with a low alcohol percentage. The grapes are harvested from our plots on the Saint Jean de minervois plateau. Lower on the hills our red varieties are planted in limestone and red clay with a north exposition, this allows the wines to remain light while maintaining complexity. The fermentations take place in stainless steel tanks and 300 liter oak barrels. You can find us experimenting with our unique terroir and discovering what our fruit can express through risk taking and curiosity. We love our life and our wines, hope you will too.
