The particle is the n. 169 of 1.42 hectares planted with 100% Pinot Noir clone 386. Costagrossa vineyard. The exposure is north-west and the soils are marl-calcareous in nature. The plants are trained in Gujot with 4500 vines/hectare.

Manual harvest in 18kg boxes starting from the third week of August with direct pressing of the grapes fresh and fermentation and temperature controlled in small stainless steel tanks. The base wine is drawn the following spring. After at least 36 months of aging on its lees, degorged and subsequently marketed.

Information
Marchesi di Montalto hat seine Wurzeln in den frühen 1900er Jahren und widmet sich Weinen, die Pinot Noir und Riesling ehrlich zum Ausdruck bringen. Mit großem Respekt für das Land in Montalto Pavese produziert das Weingut langlebige Weine, die jeweils nach ihrem Weinberg im Regionalen Weinbaukataster benannt sind, was die starke Verbindung zwischen Land und Wein unterstreicht. Das Projekt konzentriert sich auf diese beiden Rebsorten und zielt darauf ab, Weine zu erzeugen, die "heilend" wirken. Das Weingut produziert etwa 50.000 Flaschen pro Jahr und strebt nach Kontinuität und Exzellenz.
